Set up in the Spring of 2010, Christopher Miners provides an interior design and detailing service to decorators, architects and private clients.
The company was started by Christopher Miners, an architectural interior designer with over 17 years experience who, since graduating with a BA in Architecture in 1997, worked for two of the most prestigious interior design companies in the UK, Sibyl Colefax and John Fowler, and Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi. At the latter, he was responsible for the architectural design studio, overseeing all drawing work issued from that office within the UK and abroad.
Working alongside clients, architects and decorators, Christopher Miners produces 1:50 scale general arrangement drawings, 1:20 individual room elevations, and where needed 1:5, 1:10 and full size stone plaster and joinery details. They also prepare sanitaryware, ironmongery, lighting and appliance schedules if required.
Essentially they can be as involved as required. It might be full involvement including attending site and client meetings, preparing drawings and dealing with the day to day running of the project, or merely preparing a package of design drawings and documentation in the background on behalf of the client.
Christopher Miners has significant experience in the full process of design, from planning and concept, through to snagging and post completion site visits, as well as an excellent understanding of traditional stone and joinery detailing.
The overall aim is to consistently produce high quality plans, elevations, sections and details which are fully coordinated with the drawings of other consultants on the project, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard possible.
